Entry for April 02, 2006 - An elected official who thinks he is God magnify
In Middlesex County, New Jersey is a Freeholder (similar to a County Commissioner) named H. James Polos. He thinks he is God and can do as he wishes even though it violates the rules. Polos makes up his own rules.
The Transportation Advisory Council bylaws state that all new applicants to the council have to be approved by the membership committee  I submitted my application in June of 2005. It was voted on and approved by the membership committee at the October, 2005 meeting.
Freeholder Polos approves his own candidates, then he may let the membership committee see a copy of the application. Polos claims he has six potential applicants, but he has not let the committee see them. He has tabled the vote of my application for many months. He has approved a woman who never showed up at an advisory council meeting. She will be introduced at the next meeting which is this month of April. The council meets only four times a year.

I was told that two years ago a suggestion was made at a Freeholder meeting to sell advertising for the outside of the county busses. Polos stated it was a bad idea. I wonder if that was in the minutes or was it omitted. Now at the last council meeting in January, Polos gave a report and said he had a great idea to sell advertising to be put on the outside of the county busses. They have a chance to make $50,000-$60,000. Polos even hired Maria to sell the advertising. He was even going to change the name of the bus company and logo from AWTS (Area Wide Transpotation System) to MCAT (Middlesex County Area Transit) I wonder if the service and operations are going to improve.

This Freeholder concocted a regulation of not being able to serve on more than once county committee at a time, giving an opportunity for others to serve, but he is allowed to violate it. This reg is not in writing. Another reg is each term is three years with an opportunity to be reappointed for another three years. That reg is not in writing.
Then there is a one year hiatus, with an opportunity to be reappointed. That is also not in writing.

H. James Polos has got to go big time as soon as possible
Previously H. James was the Mayor of Highland Park. The liberal socialists keep reelecting him as Freeholder. What do liberals know?
Because of politicans like this we need to have term limits
