Burger King finally comes through
By Alan Weinrib | Published  06/25/2006

                                Burger King
                                Route 18 No.
                      E. Brunswick, NJ 08816

This Burger King Restaurant is owned by Burger King Corporation. When I first started going there the three handicapped parking spaces were a disaster.

*First space had a sign that was still marked $100, the sign was not posted high enough.
*Second space had no post or sign
*Third space had no penaly plaque and sign was posted too low
Someone ran a vehicle into the sign and knocked it flat.

I started calling the Burger King Corp., they would tell me they were taking care of it and did nothing. They even could not find my previous call. This went on for many months.

I finally got one person who gave me her name and a complaint number. Eventually they put up three new signs with posts, but they were too low from the ground. I was told they would be back to correct it when the weather warmed up. Eventually this was corrected. Then people without permits parked there and the police were not around. One was a large landscapping truck. There was even a car parked in between two handicapped spaces.

It was not worth getting into an arguement with a stupid person.

In New Jersey there is a snow removal law which allows the owner to remove all snow from handicapped spaces within 48 hours. This applies to anything stored in handicapped spaces.

This Burger King had  the snow plowed. Whoever plowed it, plowed it into one of the handicapped spaces. 48 hours passed and the snow was still there. I called Burger King Corp who said they would notify the manager. I said that has to be immediately or I will notify the police as 48 had passed. They gave me the name and phone number of the manager. I called him and told him the 48 hours had passed and it has to be removed. He said he would notify the people who plowed the snow. The snow was moved the next morning when I passed.
